Speak Up For The Rights Of Transgender Community

We as four organization(HOPE , Sathi , KSS and Rohe-khalida ) Believe in community system strengthening and working closely and in collaboration with each and took another step to speak up for the rights of transgender community . After 18th amendment in constitution, each province is responsible to develop provincial laws to full fill the rule of business to protect socially the marginalized sector. And government has decided to develop the provincial transgender laws and took us (All four organization ) as transgender working group to draft the provincial transgender law.
We have started our grass root work (outreach work) and reached out to unreached community and organized community consultation to know the needs of community to incorporate in upcoming law. Consultation went successful and community from province Punjab and community led organization were presented there to represented their respective district

 Human Rights Violation

Stakeholder consultation was organized by Four organization ( HOPE , SAATHI , ROHE-KHALIDA and KSS) Where we have shared the human rights violation data collected by HOPE and SAATHI to highlight the need of provincial transgender legislation and also we have shared the recommendation of community and discussion points of community consultation as per the need and dynamics of Central and Southern Punjab.
Special thanks to Social Welfare and bait-ul-mal , Punjab, Punjab Social Protection Authority, Punjab Police Pakistan , National Commission For Human Rights – Punjab , Human Rights Punjab, Department of Social Welfare and Development and civil society department whom presented at stakeholder consultation meeting

Consultation on Provincial Legislation

Representation of Khawaja Sira Society by the Program Director Mahnoor Chaudhry and Finance Manager Sobo Malik during the consultation on Provincial Legislation at Ministers Enclave Punjab Civil Secretariat on 3rd Nov 2020 organized by Human Rights and Minorities Affair Department, Government of the Punjab. We are thankful to the minister Mr Ejaz Augustine for organizing this consultative meeting and inviting Transgender persons across Punjab for getting recommendations before putting forward the final draft.
